Portland has seen a whirlwind of ups and downs the past few years. Whenever we find an opportunity to give back to the Portland community, we take it! That’s why today we are sharing Portland restaurants and bars who are doing the most to support, uplift, and give back to our most deserving community members.
Tini’s —100% of Profits Serving Low-Income Youth
: Unique, innovative mini craft cocktails showcasing Dregs Vodka
Where: 1650 NW 23rd Avenue in Slabtown
Who: Owned by Mike and Courtney Niergarten, who also own Dregs Vodka Distillery
A recent addition to Portland’s scene, Tini’s opened in January, founded by Dregs Vodka Distillery owners Mike and Courtney Nierengarten. The cocktail bar serves a small, curated selection of mini craft cocktails, all made with Dregs Vodka (of course). Jon Davidson designed the cocktail flight for Tini’s to showcase the distillery’s vodka in “offbeat ways.” Say more! Unique ingredients include Froot Loops simple syrup, pickle juice, honey-jalapeno syrup, pea flower, balsamic soda, szechuan peppers, and SO much more.
Each cocktail is 2 ounces and $5 each, or visitors can opt for a flight of three cocktails for $13.
Our mission is to help low income youth gain access to education, a safe place to sleep and eat, and an opportunity to be a part of the community. We pursue this mission through vodka. Morning Glass Enterprises donates 100% of profits from Dregs Vodka to local charities supporting low income youth. Choose Dregs. Drink good. Do good.

What: Bomb pub food and a continuously rotating tap list
Where: 700 NE Dekum Street in Vernon
Who: President and founder Ryan Saari launched The Oregon Public House in 2010 as a way to give back to the community of Portland.
Giving Back: Customers decide which of Oregon Public House’s non-profit partners their purchase will be donated to.
The Oregon Public House is legendary for their values and unceasing willingness to give, give, give. The company established relationships with non-profit organizations in Portland, and positioned themselves as the “fundraising department” for these organizations! Not to mention, Oregon Public House has created dozens of new jobs with industry standard wages, provided advertising and awareness for 200+ non-profit organizations, and donates thousands of dollars every month.
Our vision is to leverage Portland’s pub culture and non-profit organizations by creating a family-fierendly environment where our neighbors can come enjoy good food and craft beer, while supporting great causes — Ryan Saari
Rock Creek Corner — Pint Proceeds Benefit Local Organizations with NO CAP
What: Date-worth brunch and dinner
Where: 18515 NW West Union Road, next to the Rock Creek Trailhead
Who: A community hub, Rock Creek Corner has long participated in local fundraisers and remains a pillar business of Portland.
Giving Back: In 2019, RCC launched the Pints with Purpose program and has since raised $24,000 for local non-profits!
Each month, the restaurant partners with a different brewery and donates $1 of each pint purchased to a local non-profit. Patrons have the opportunity to give back by “simply raising a glass!” The fundraiser has no cap, and they update the running total regularly — $24,000 and counting!
Gado Gado — Monthly Cocktail for Charity
What: Chinese Indonesian delish cuisine
Where: 1801 NE Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard, in Hollywood
Who: Thomas and Mariah Pusha-Duffly have been whipping up unbelievable Southeast Asian dishes for Portland locals for years at two locations — Gado Gado and Oma’s HIdeaway
Giving Back: Each month, owners and bartenders brainstorm a curated cocktail and donate the proceeds to a rotating organization.
BONUS Kachka — $10,000 Donated to Red Cross Ukraine, and Counting!
What: Russian food (and a lengthy vodka list) that will blow your mind
Where: 360 SE 11th Avenue, in Buckman
Who: Owners Bonnie and Israel Morales are longtime human rights activists in Portland with a distinct appreciation for the power of food to unite a community.
Giving Back: Beyond their extensive activism, the Morales’ have worked tirelessly to support Ukraine from across the world. As of July 2022, they have donated $10,000, and they have no intention of stopping!

Kachka stands with Ukraine. We are devastated by the horrible, senseless attack and our hearts break for the loving, caring people of Ukraine who do not deserve this terror. We vehemently oppose the actions the Russian government is taking to invade Ukraine. While Kachka was created to share the food and culture of immigrants from the regions of the former Soviet Union, we oppose any political nostalgia for that oppressive era in history.
Please help in any way you can. There are many ways to support (including Unicef and the Red Cross Ukraine who are helping on the ground, and World Central Kitchen feeding refugees at the border), but if you happen to be stopping by Kachka sometime soon, you will see a featured drink on our menu from which proceeds are donated to the Red Cross in Ukraine. We have also been raising funds for HIAS and UNICEF in support of their special Ukraine programs.
All combined, Kachka has raised and donated over $10,000 as of July. We will continue to fundraise for as long as we are able. If you have participated, thank you for your generosity.
We love our city, not only for everything it is, but everything it can be. As members of the Portland community, we have a responsibility to support the community and keep the city streets a safe, healthy place for all!
